Data Cycle '15 was created by manually gathering data from friend circles at the time of development. Trending articles, post frequency, and common interests were collected through screenshots and used to texture objects and generate heightmaps. Culturally appropriated 3d models are juxtaposed with these objects to suggest a void of content banality. The player exists in this lonely world with no purpose, endlessly searching for connections that cannot be found.
